A series of Organic Farming Workshops organized by Environmental Education Team were held from October to December last year and March to May this year. This activity aims to let students explore how food crops are grown and learn to cherish food. Students were taught various farming skills and had hands-on farming experiences. They now have a better understanding of organic farming: making organic fertilizers with seaweed, using natural pesticides and more. They grew tomatoes, white radish in Term 1 and bitter gourd, eggplant and water spinach (tung choy) in Term 2. The workshops were run successfully and all members had a good harvest.
